On this page, you will see some example designs that demonstrate the features and capabilities of the Image Filter Widget from Foxy Effex, a premium WordPress plugin that works with Elementor.

With this widget, you specify a set of images that have already been uploaded to your WordPress system. You also specify a set of “filters”, where each filter is specified by a color and how that color blends with an underlying image. Finally, choose from four different effects: Pinwheel Effect, Planes Effect, Bars Effect, and Particles Effect. The effect determines how the images and color filters interact to produce an animated effect.

Design Note

In the following design, a Pinwheel Effect was used on two images. No color filters were specified in this design.

Design Note

In the following design, a Pinwheel Effect was used on a single image of a house. Four color filters were specified: cyan, green, cyan, and green.

Design Note

In the following design, a Planes Effect was used on a single image of a house. Two color filters were specified: cyan and blue. In this design, there are two moving “planes”. Each plane is basically a Pinwheel Effect with two color filters. In other words, each plane is basically a layer that consists of a straight line separating two color filter areas. Each plane always carries exactly two color filters. The Planes Effect requires a minimum of two planes:

  • If 2 color filters are specified, then the first plane will have color #1 and color #2, and the second plane will have color #1 and color #2.
  • If 3 color filters are specified, then the first plane will have color #1 and color #2, and the second plane will have color #3 and color #1.
  • If 4 color filters are specified, then the first plane will have color #1 and color #2, and the second plane will have color #3 and color #4.
  • If 5 color filters are specified, then the first plane will have color #1 and color #2, the second plane will have color #3 and color #4, and the third plane will have color #5 and color #1.

The planes behave as layers, and they blend with each other based on a specified opacity.

Design Note

In the following design, the Bars Effect was used on three JPEG images of three houses. Three color filters were used: #00FFFF (cyan), #0080FF (sky blue), and #0000FF (blue). Each of these colors was blended with one of the three images.

Design Note

In the following design, the Particles Effect was used on a single JPEG image of mixed berries. Two color filters were used: (1) green and (2) none. The green filter was applied to the whole entire image while the “none” filter was applied to the moving pentagonal particles.
